OUR STORY
Morgan King Builders was founded in 2019 by husband and wife Duo, Morgan & Indi King. We’re a family-owned building company based in Dunedin, proudly born and bred here.
Morgan has been working in the construction industry for over 12 years and started his own business in 2019 to take on a new challenge and build a company grounded on integrity, quality workmanship, and strong client relationships.
Over the years, he has worked on a wide range of projects from renovations to delivering large-scale multi-tenancy developments. His broad experience, practical knowledge, and hands-on approach allow him to confidently manage projects of all sizes.
Morgan’s strengths lie in project management, problem-solving, and maintaining high standards on site. He takes pride in running an efficient, hardworking team and has a sharp eye for detail. He’s also the first to grab a broom, believing that a tidy site sets the tone for a professional job done.
A true builder at heart, Morgan is always juggling ideas and projects of his own — which means his own house is rarely “finished.” But no matter how many personal projects are on the go, his clients always come first.
Indi oversees all administrative operations within the business, helping keep everything organised and running smoothly behind the scenes, while also giving the business the much-needed woman’s touch that keeps the boys organised and the chaos under control.
Outside of work, life is kept busy with their two young boys. Whether it’s tackling another project around the house, planning the next renovation idea, or spending quality time together as a family, building and creating is something that naturally carries through into everyday life.

What started as a one-man band has grown into a thriving business with a team of 10 who are made up of hardworking, skilled people who take pride in what they do. From new builds and renovations to maintenance and upgrades, our skilled team of builders focus on quality workmanship, efficiency, and attention to detail every step of the way.
We believe building should be straightforward, reliable, and enjoyable for everyone involved. We work hard, meet deadlines, and build strong relationships with our clients along the way. While we take our work seriously, we also believe in enjoying what we do — including a well-earned beer on a Friday Arvo after a big week on site.
